I needed to make this painting for myself to remind myself and anyone struggling with this twisted disease, of our great worth—we are all diamonds!
She was a soul unnoticed. Amid the hushed echoes of her existence, she longed to be someone’s world, she longed to be a star in someone’ sky.
Sadness clung to her like a shadow. Who, she thought, would notice her departure from this world?
But the turning point was within, and it echoed louder than the void. She recognized that though she wasn’t the center of another’s universe, the world had always been hers. It was at her fingertips all along. It had always been hers to shape.
She didn’t need not be someone’s star, because the stars were right within her reach. In that self-discovery, the brilliance of her own essence, like precious diamonds, sparkled in the darkness.
